My sister, Claudia, and I started Santa Fe Re-Creations in 1987 in our retail shop (Claudia is now running her B&B known as Inn and Mercantile at Ojo Caliente). Garments that hadn't sold, often made of interesting materials but of questionable style, were reassembled into impressive original designs. Today, of course, it is more expedient to use new textiles.

Through the years, as the designs have evolved, I have gathered a talented group of women about me that make magical things happen with SFR coats and jackets. In the design process, we are surrounded by a rainbow of colors in many varieties of fabric: wool, silk, denim, faux fur, linen, and a selection of up to 60 colors of suede and leather.

While my roots are in New Mexico, the designs we offer here at SFR combine sophisticated East Coast fashion with West Coast flare. We offer a variety of designs that will appeal to those with a well defined sense of style. We do not conform to any particular trend, but instead design with beauty, comfort and individuality in mind.
